Are you a sales professional with a background in selling services to the construction/engineering companies in Edmonton?
Metro Testing + Engineering is looking for someone like you for a Business Development Specialist position in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full time permanent position and the person will be helping us to grow our materials testing and geotechnical engineering consulting business.
Who we are
We are a Canadian owned and operated company and we are one of the largest materials testing companies in BC. With our head office in Burnaby, BC, we have 11 offices in Western Canada. For last 35 years, we worked on residential/commercial development sites and major infrastructure projects

- Salary starts at $80,000/year (DOE) + yearend bonus

What you will be doing:
- Grow Metro Testing & Engineering's revenue and customer base in Edmonton
- Service existing customers and expand our service offerings
- Generate new sales leads and build a pipeline of prospects
- Identify, track, and respond to RFPs and procurement opportunities relevant to our scope of services.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and association meetings
What you need to have:
- 3-5 years of business development experience in the construction/engineering industry
- Experience with developing relationships with contractors and engineers
- Valid Canadian driver’s license
- Experience in proposal development, RFP processes, and CRM systems.
- Experience in closing deals
- Post- Secondary education in business/ civil engineering is an asset
- Willingness to travel to regional offices and client sites as required.
Compensation
$80,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
