Description
We are hiring a materials testing professional to run the office and to lead a team of technicians in Edmonton Alberta.
What the Manager will be doing:
- Manage staff and resources to perform laboratory and field testing on concrete, aggregates, soils and asphalt
- Responsible to ensure operation of the Edmonton office is running efficiently, while maintaining the high level of accuracy to our clients' expectations
- Maintain laboratory CCIL certifications
- Perform quality control reviews of laboratory staff and test results
- Review final reports
- Oversee maintenance and calibration of testing equipment
- Mentoring new and junior technicians
- Preparing and reviewing proposals
- Provide consulting services to our clients
- Determine the staffing level
- Interview and hire testing technicians
Who we are looking for:
- Previous experience in materials testing industry is required
- Experience in proposal writing
- Experience in leading a team of field and lab technicians
- Experience in the Edmonton market
- Deep understanding of test procedures
- Great attitude and willingness to learn
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift and control weights up to 35 lb
- Current or recent CCIL and/or CSA certification

- Salary up 125k/year (negotiable depending on experience)

Compensation
$85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
