The Opportunity

Metro Testing + Engineering is hiring for a Laboratory Technician to perform testing on concrete and other construction materials at their Burnaby branch office.

What you will be doing:

Organizing and demolding cubes and cube molds
Trimming samples
Capping Cores
Preparing Air void Test samples (polishing)
Low strength compressive tests
Back-up dispatch and data entry duties
Other duties as required

What you need to have:

Previous experience in a materials testing lab is an asset
Great attitude and willingness to learn
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lift and control weights up to 50lb

Compensation

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
